A 320-acre farm, this property is called Wessex Hundred. The farm dates back to around 1616, the date when the first known owner is recorded. The modern day vineyards were planted in 1985, brining a harvest in 1988. Today, over 65,000 cases of wine are produced each year. Chardonnay, Seyval, Cabaret Sauvignon, Vidal and Merlot are among the types of wine produced. A visit to the winery includes a 10-minute video, a guided tour and a wine tasting. After tasting seven different wines, guests are sent home with a complimentary monogrammed wine tasting glass.
